Snowflakes and Snow

When I woke up this morning, I started doing things around my kitchen and then looked outside and saw that my deck was covered in snow. URG! Not already I thought, winter can't be coming. But it is here.

Today, as I was doing errands around town, I was stopped at a stop light and noticed a couple of the snowflakes on my windshield. It had landed on my windshield so I could see every detail of the flake. It reminded me how each and every snowflake is different, but each one of them was created with care by our Heavenly Father.

We too are like those snowflakes. Each person is molded, sculpted and created just how God wanted us. None of us are the same. Each of us have our own unique personalities.

One of my favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I created you, I set up apart from anyone else." How cool is that. God knew each one of us before we were even a fragment of our parents imagination. He has a plan for each and every one of us.

Even though, I am not excited about winter coming. One of my favorite things about winter is right after a fresh snowfall. I love looking out and seeing the pure white snow. Or looking out over my back yard when nothing has touched the snow and it is perfect. It reminds me of the forgiveness that God gives us each and every time we ask for forgiveness. We are just like the fallen snow, pure and clean.

Thank you God, for making us in your image and how you have made each and everyone unique and special. Thank you for the forgiveness of our sins and making us as clean as the fresh fallen snow. Amen.
