Calling Out For God

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12

In today's world, we use our cell phones all the time. We use them to talk to our friends and family. We use them to get information, when we are lost and need direction, when we need help or maybe you just want to talk to someone. There are so many times, we just pick up our cell phones and get what we need.

There was one day a couple of weeks ago, that I was having a really bad day. I needed to talk to someone, I called two of my friends and they didn't answer their phones. I tried to call my mom and she was working so she couldn't talk. How many times have you needed to talk to someone and no one was there to talk to? In today's world, we can usually get ahold of someone but sometimes we can't.

We don't always realize that all we need to do is stop and pray to God. We can't just dial up and reach God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other way to call on God except through Jesus, His Son.

Once we know Jesus, the one who died for us. The one who is our bridge between us and God. Then we can call on God anytime and anywhere. Because of Jesus, God is going to be available to us anytime, anywhere and for anyone. We just need to pray to him and He will listen to you. What comfort and joy that brings to all of us.

Dear Heavenly Father -

We thank you and praise you for being there for us to call upon. You listen and hear us anytime of the day. Thank you for the unconditional love that you have for each and every one of us.
