Prayer Can Move Mountains

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective" James 5:16

This morning, I got an e-mail from a friend asking for prayers as their family, as they are going through a tough time right now. Of course, I e-mailed them back and said that I would for sure pray for them. As soon as I hit send, a song came into my head that we used to sing at camp. It was called "Prayer Can Move The Mountains"

The chorus says this -

Prayer can move the mountains
Prayer can calm the seas
Prayer can turn the world upside down
Best of all, prayer can change you and me

Prayer is a very powerful tool. It can do wonders for people. How cool is it to have someone praying for you. When people say they are praying for you, it brings comfort and peace to you. A comfort that you know others are telling God about you and He is listening to their prayers.

I have learned that when life is hard and diffecult, but also when life is going perfectly, the best thing for us is to drop on our knees and pray. Thank God for the many blessings that He has given to you and the people around you. Each night before I go to sleep, I drop to my knees by my bed and pray. He listens and He hears.

Yes, through prayers miracles have happened. Prayer can change you, I know, because it has changed and continues to change me in so many ways. It can turn our world upside down.

Prayer can turn the world upside down, it can also help turn it right side up again! :)

Thank you for your prayers! If it wasn't for the prayerful support my family has received over the last two years I don't know how we would have survived!

Thank goodness for our personal relationships with our Savior! It is amazing that we can talk with him, and that he listens and cares about "little ole us" down here.

Prayer...what a blessing!
