Name a teacher that you admire and what have they taught you.
If there is one teacher that I have learned the most from and respected most I think it would be my 7th grade world geography teacher, Jan Hertel. She was the best teacher I have ever had. She showed me that even when you fail you can get up and try again. "Just as long as you give it your best," that's what she used to tell me.
She showed me that it was ok to fail just as long as you do keep trying and never give up. She also showed me how to accept the way I am and try not to change it for anyone. She might not know this but I think that she had the most impact of anyone on my through my middle school life. She didn't only help me in the classroom but she also taught me alot of life lessons.
She taught me how to deal with my parents nasty divorce. She taught me how to deal with my friends and the drama that comes with being a teenager. But most of all she taught me how to be myself even if at the time I didn't know what that ment. I respect her the most because she never gave up on me. Even though I had an attitude sometimes and was disrespectful, she always kept trying. I really respect her for trying so hard to help me get through life and that year. I thank God everyday for her. Without her I don't know where I would be.
Dear God, Thank you so much for the people who teach us. You know how important it is to have someone to make us and mold us into what we are. Thank you for molding us into the people we are. We will always know we have you as a teacher. Amen!

Great job Kara! It's the mistakes we make that we learn the most from and like you said, so long as we keep going we'll be okay! And we all have the best teacher in Christ to follow.
Blessings to you!
Hey Kara,
I know you probably don't know me, but I'm at youth group almost every Sunday if you want to put a name to a face. I was just looking back at some of the posts on Lynette's blog and I was really drawn toward yours for some reason. As I began reading, I thought of the whole cliche "Jesus is my teacher" and I liked how you chose not to use that. I also enjoyed seeing the respect you have for, not only Ms. Hertel, but for every one. Looking back at the little glimpses I've had of you, you really treat people well, and that is so good for me to see. I enjoyed your post and I'm glad to see that you have been blessed with the ability to learn from your mistakes.
God Bless,
Ashleigh Meckle
